About Me

I am a visual designer and production specialist with experience across film, television, theatre, and live events, passionate about creating environments that bring stories to life. I grew up in a small West Coast town in Scotland, surrounded by the creativity and drama of theatre, and spent my childhood attending musical theatre, which deepened my love for performance, storytelling, and immersive experiences. From a young age, I also enjoyed building with LEGO and K’NEX, experimenting with structure, scale, and design—playful beginnings that sparked my fascination with how physical spaces can shape narrative and emotion.

 

I am currently completing a BA (Hons) in Set Design and Production at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, where I am refining my creative, technical, and conceptual skills in designing and producing immersive environments. During my studies, I had the opportunity to complete a semester abroad at California State University, Fullerton, studying BA Theatre. This international experience allowed me to broaden my understanding of theatre design, explore new creative perspectives, and strengthen my technical and collaborative skills in a different cultural context. My academic performance during this semester was recognised through placement on the Dean’s List, reflecting both commitment and achievement.

 

My work spans set design, costume design production, and creative problem-solving, combining hands-on technical skills—including model-making, prop fabrication, drafting, and CAD—with conceptual and narrative-driven design. I thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with directors, production teams, and technical crews to ensure every element of a set contributes meaningfully to the story.

Inspired by storytelling and visual world-building, I aim to create immersive, thoughtful environments that enhance narrative, atmosphere, and emotional impact. Whether designing for theatre, film, television, or live events, I approach every project with practicality, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail, striving to craft spaces that audiences feel connected to and engaged by.

I am continually exploring innovative materials, techniques, and approaches to design. My goal is to deliver sets and environments that do more than serve as a backdrop—they become integral to the story, shaping experience, mood, and audience engagement.
